Auchentoshan The Bartender's Malt 01

Auchentoshan is preparing a single malt scotch whisky  specifically for the booming cocktail scene. Auchentoshan The Bartender's Malt  is the first feat of The New Malt Order (sounds a bit Star Wars-y, no?) is a group of 12 bartenders from around the globe. It appears to be an annual limited edition.

Tasting notes: complex and smooth with notes of zest, cherry blossom, brioche and ginger.

Identity Card Auchentoshan The Bartender's Malt 01

  • Auchentoshan Distillery, By Dalmuir (Lowlands)

  • NAS old single malt

  • Alcohol: 47% ABV
Entries from the TTB Public Registry (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau) are a fairly reliable source for upcoming new whiskies. Although not all entries make it to the market. There’s always the possibility a brand decides not to launch a whisky, even if the label has been approved. Until the distillery sends out a press release, this whisky should be considered a rumour…

  1. Hi there,

in the light of dwindling Scotch whisky sales and a desperate fight to get the attention of so-called Millenials no idea is crazy enough to boost sales.
If it will occur to anyone that any other Scotch whisky will do for a whisky cocktail?

Another hint on how deep the identity crisis of whisky has become.

    Greetings
