Rumour: Highland Park 50

Who does not remember the visually stunning (and ultra-premium) 50-year-old Highland Park designed by Maeve Gillies?

It looks like Highland Park has another small stock of 50-year-old single malt in its Orkney warehouses. A label for 274 bottles with the new Viking-inspired artwork was filed in the Colas database.

I have a feeling quite a few kidneys and mothers-in-law from HP fans will be offered on the secondary market to obtain a bottle of this.

Identity Card Highland Park 50

  • Official bottling from Highland Park Distillery
  • 50-year-old single malt Scotch whisky
  • Outturn: 274 bottles
  • Alcohol: 42.5% ABV
Entries from the TTB Public Registry (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau) are a fairly reliable source for upcoming new whiskies. Although not all entries make it to the market. There’s always the possibility a brand decides not to launch a whisky, even if the label has been approved. Until the distillery sends out a press release, this whisky should be considered a rumour…
