The former Bruichladdich General Manager, Duncan McGillivray passed away today. Duncan worked over 40 years for the aqua-coloured brand and was instrumental in the resurrection of Bruichladdich in 2001.
The man who told me the finest barley he had ever seen came from Ireland; the man that told me of a beautiful coastal farm to buy; the man that renovated, engineered & maintained Bruichladdich distillery on a shoe string. That wonderful man, Duncan Macgillivray, has sadly died. pic.twitter.com/h6ZXUOOCwj— Mark Reynier (@markreynier) March 10, 2020
